The TricoSTYM 3100 is a device capable, through photo-stimulation, of promoting hair regeneration.
The TS-3100 is a device which is used to irradiate the scalp, and consists of 9 radiating plates, each of which combines 4 laser emitters in solid state and 21 IR emitters of 12mW each. The scientific theory which supports its success is based on the combination of low strength laser therapy and LED (Light Emitting Diode) therapy. The fours sources of laser light emit a wavelength of 635nm with short duration pulses and low intensity, while the 21 infrared LEDs emit a wavelength of 940nm with high intensity pulses.

A study carried out by Evic Italia under the supervision of Prof. Leonardo Celleno, has demonstrated the properties of the TS-3100 in the stimulation of hair follicles in the scalp, particularly in halting the loss of hair in cases of androgenetic alopecia.
To follow we present the preliminary results of the study:
The data was gathered over a period of 6 months (from March 2007 to August 2007). 20 healthy volunteers (men and women) with ages of between 35 and 60, completed a questionnaire and authorised the taking of digital photos prior to the first cycle of treatment and on the last session, all of which were included in the study. The patients in the study were treated for androgenetic alopecia of different severity. The results obtained after 8 and after 12 weeks of treatment were evaluated by microscopic analysis and macro-photographs of the scalp and the hair.
The analysis of the results showed how this technology is effective in reducing hair loss in cases of alopecia; low intensity systems stimulated hair regeneration and hair growth, reducing the number of miniaturised hair by some 35%.
After the last treatment, the patients completed a detailed questionnaire about their satisfaction, indicating side effects or complications.
The evaluation data was very positive for all parameters.
